This claim is located approximately 10 miles from Saint Regis, Montana on Ward Creek Road. The road to the claim is accessible from May through snowfall, normally late November. The road is maintained and is in very good condition. 4-Wheel drive is not required.
The claim road off of Ward Creek Road provides accommodations for a camper or small RV. Several level spots for tenting are also close to the creek. There is a small clearing that provides a serene and private campsite. The are several fine fishing spots to enjoy as you explore the creek.
Ward Creek offers a wealth of gravel bars and hard-packed streambed; ideal spots to high-bank, sluice, metal detect, dredge or pan.
Clearing trail at the Gray Lady. The claim is crisscrossed with several side drainages that look promising. Winter storms often bring down trees, so there is always some clean up to do that provides plenty of wood for the campfire. It is helpful to have friends that own chainsaws.
